|Fate:||Ground Support Equipment failure resulted in explosion|
While under construction SN4 was partly built from some of the undamaged sections of SN3.
SN4 became the first prototype (excluding tank tests) to pass a cryogenic test on April 26, 2020.
Following two static fires in early May, Raptor SN18 was removed on 8 May ahead of another cryogenic test which it passed on 8 May. The new Raptor SN20 was installed as a replacement on 10 May.
During a static fire 19 May 2020, the prototype was damaged after the thrust from the raptor engine damaged ground support equipment resulting in a fuel leak.
After another static fire on 29 May 2020, the Ground Support Equipment’s quick-disconnect failed resulting in the loss of the vehicle in a subsequent explosion.
